GBR Recruitment are working on behalf of a construction machinery rental business recruiting for an experienced Hire Desk Controller / Hire Desk Coordinator to join the business rental desk team ensuring customer rental orders are provided on time.

Hire Desk Duties Include:

* Handling rental enquiries/orders (inbound and outbound).

* Answer all incoming calls in a polite, friendly and professional manner

* Responsible for the smooth running of Key Accounts and General Orders.

* Deliver a high level of customer service with a friendly, professional & Helpful attitude.

* Dealing with commercial team enquiries

* Successfully generate and convert enquiries to rental orders

* Record all rental quotes on to the relevant system

* Telephone sales as and when required

* Ensure all on/off hire orders are taken in detail and processed correctly.

* Create, input and ensure accuracy of orders onto the company system

* Reserve and enter all machine bookings

* Arrange transport for all rentals

* Work closely with commercial, engineering, transport & other areas of the business

Experience & Skills:

* Rental or Hire Desk experience in construction / plant machinery or other machinery

* Strong professional communicator over the telephone, email & face to face

* Strong planning skills

* Strong administration & PC skills

* Comfortable working in fast paced environments

This position could suit someone working as a: Hire Desk Controller, Rental Desk Controller, Hire Desk Coordinator, Rental Desk Coordinator, Plant Hire Controller, Plant Hire Coordinator, Hire Controller, Hire Desk Administrator, Plant Hire Assistant or similar

This role could suit someone working in a hire desk / rental desk capacity within plant machinery, construction machinery, specialist machinery, off highway machinery, forklifts, MHE, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, MEWPs, AWPs, Municipal, Agricultural or similar equipment

This role is commutable from; Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire & Middlesex
