Mane are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to be based in Aylesbury.

The contract is working for a Forestry contractor who are winning a large amount of work on various sections of HS2. Their work schedule on HS2 is due to run for a number of years so this has the opportunity to be a long term position.

The main responsibilities will include but not limited to –

*Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes
*Assist with the review and update health & safety policies, systems of work, risk assessments and procedures.
*Inspect and verify the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
*Plan and carry out site safety inspections and audits on a regular basis, maintain records of inspections and ensure your corrective measures are implemented where necessary; track and report on all corrective measures.
*Assist with incident/accident investigations, report the findings to the Health and Safety Manager, track and report on arising actions and recommendations.

To apply for this position as a Health and Safety Advisor you must meet the below criteria:

*NEBOSH qualified or working towards NEBOSH certificate accreditation.
*Experience of Safety Management Systems
*COSHH Trained
*Experience of providing advice to Project managers/supervisors
*Experience handling of H&S investigations
*Member of institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH)

The contract is starting ASAP and working hours are Monday to Friday – 07:00-16:00.
