Commercial Manager – Civils – Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire – Permanent or Freelance

The Company

* An established large contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and multiple projects.

* There are 3 main projects you would oversee they are all large civil engineering projects.

The Role

* You would be responsible helping QSs with day to day surveying issues.

* Working on NEC3, extensive experience and knowledge is essential.

* Reporting project updates to director level.

* Large civils and earthworks packages are being carried out.

* Based around Buckinghamshire and Berkshire with occasional travel outside of the counties.

The Candidate

Key attributes of the role include:

* Must have 15+ years’ experience working for contractors.

* Must have 15+ years’ experience work on civil engineering projects.

* Must have 8+ years’ experience on NEC.

* Must have experience managing a team.

* Must have experience managing multiple sites.

* Must have a driving licence.

* Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

* Organised, with good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

* Can adapt to different tasks quickly, efficiently and confidently.

* Capable of working in an autonomous or team orientated environment.

* Should have a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.

* Interpret information and instructions correctly and carry out tasks accordingly.

The candidate must have recent UK experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager level.
