Rent and Fixed Assets Manager
Aylesbury
Salary £39,644 Per Annum
Permanent
Full time – 37 hours per week
The Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust is a Buckinghamshire based housing association providing homes and services to local communities throughout the Vale of Aylesbury, we have around 7,200 homes. We pride ourselves on working closely with residents and surrounding communities to make sure we deliver high quality housing, homes and services. We are looking for a Rent and Fixed Assets Manager to help us achieve our vision and goals.
The Role:
To be responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the Trust’s key systems relating to rental income and fixed assets and also the provision of related data and analysis required from them
To be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of rents, sundry income, cash collection and update and reconciliation of the associated financial records
To be responsible for the maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers
Actively support and advise the Financial Accountant in respect of policy development and the development of the systems, processes and control procedures to achieve an efficient and effective service
Required Skills and Experience:
A part qualified accountant or significant relevant experience. Educated to at least A level standard and GCSE’s attained include Maths and English
Demonstrated ability to work competently in a large volume financial transaction processing environment within a medium/large organisation Experience to include some direct contact with suppliers and/or customers
Experience of utilising computerised financial systems and highly competent in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Word (able to work with very detailed financial spreadsheets)
Competent in the analysis of large volumes of data, with the ability / aptitude to use systems effectively
Resilient problem solver with a positive outlook and the ability to deliver results to tight timescales
Effective written & verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills, with a customer focused outlook, and able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve wider goals
Excellent organisational skills with ability to work without detailed direction
Contributes new ideas and able to introduce and develop new practices
Understanding and knowledge of the Housing Sector
