Apprentice Vehicle Technician
Location: Headquarters, Stocklake, Aylesbury, HP20 1BD
Salary: £18,583 per annum (including 2 hours contractual overtime)
Contract: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 39 – hour week, Full time

We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician. This role is based in the workshop at Headquarters in Stocklake, Aylesbury, where our vision is to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest areas in England in which to live, work and travel.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take part in a training programme for a leading vehicle manufacturer and will consist of a blend of day/block release to off-site training facilities, online learning and on the job experience in the fire service workshop. This will lead to a Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship being achieved. You will be part of a team that are responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of the fleet of emergency vehicles, plant, equipment and support vehicles used by the fire service.
Required Criteria
* GCSE in English and Maths (grade 9-4/A*-C)
* Experience in the use of IT packages
* Full UK driving licence
* Self-motivated with a keenness to learn and to work to a high standard
* Live within 30 – 40 minutes travelling time to Aylesbury
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service can offer you:

* Working pattern – 39 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 17.00 and Friday 08.00 – 16.00
