Pertemps Recruitment on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council has an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Co-ordinator to join the Learning and Development Team in their Aylesbury office (HP20 area). This is a hybrid working role working alongside the Senior Workforce Development Officer, and you will play an important role in the delivery of quality learning opportunities within CHASC for staff at all levels. You will support the strategic lead and senior workforce career and development officer to develop and deliver training in all areas relevant to service provision. This role is to provide administrative and organisational support for the L&D team to ensure timely, efficient and engaging delivery of all training / development programmes and activities

About the role
As a Learning & Development Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the following:
To provide administrative support to Buckinghamshire Council Adults Social Care Workforce Development team across a range of learning and development activities.
To provide advice and guidance to internal and external customers with regard to learning and development opportunities organised by the L&D Team and support in the delivery of a career advisory support service
To give advice to staff and their managers regarding appropriate training opportunities available for different roles.
Maintain records and produce up to date information for reports as required.
Liaise with venues and training providers or facilitators to ensure the agreed learning activity is delivered as planned in a suitable venue with appropriate resources and materials.
Ensure all L&D activities are evaluated and the responses recorded.
Be responsible for the pre and post-course administration across Adult social care to ensure accurate records are collated and updated and maintained.
Liaise with training providers and book appropriate IT Training rooms so that Training is delivered as planned in a suitable venue with appropriate resources and materials
Send Flyers out to targeted staff advising them of scheduled dates, times and venues for training
Prepare and circulate LCS Newsletter / updates / communication emails
Facilitate User groups & attend team meetings
This is a temporary position for 6-12 months, though there is potential for this to be extended further. The pay rate is £14.00, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week. Buckinghamshire Council are currently working on a hybrid basis where you will work remotely for 3-4 days per week and in the office 1-2 days per week.
The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40
About you
The work of the team is varied and fast-paced so we are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual who can manage competing priorities and work independently and as part of a team. You will need to be empathetic with our service users and able to use your initiative when dealing with queries.
Bringing excellent ICT skills, you will have experience of standard packages, including MS Office, Excel, and may include use of bespoke databases etc.
Due to the frequent liaison activities, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
You will need to be highly accurate with attention to detail. You must be able to prioritise and work to deadlines.
Previous experience of preparing for a defined programme/ activity to take place within a specified timescale is required
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the relevant policies, procedures and working practices within the learning/training area is vital
