The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire!

Aston Clinton is a VN training centre with a friendly team made up of 5 vets, 7 nurses and 5 receptionists. We work to a 4-day week with only one working weekend in five, and two long weekends off in five. No on-call.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic and a friendly understanding attitude towards clients, as client interaction and communication is key.

The ability to work without the need for supervision is important as sole charge is required at the weekends, although plenty of support is available during the week from our experienced team to help develop skills and knowledge.

Aston Clinton is situated in pleasant countryside not too far from London and the airports at Luton and Heathrow.

The practice is excellently equipped including 3 theatre suites, dental suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, endoscopy and separate dog and cat wards. We also have our own boarding kennels, cattery and dog grooming parlour on site which makes for an interesting place to work.

Aston Clinton feeds into our Watford 24-hr hospital. Here, will also have access to diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, dental X-ray and a full orthopaedic theatre.

Our 7 hospital vets are always on hand to help you work up tricky cases and provide advanced surgical procedures for your patients. You are welcome to come along and assist, or learn how to perform these procedures yourself
