FULL TIME or PART TIME SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED TO JOIN A SPECIALIST TEAM in Amersham

Permanent positions – working with just 1 client – guaranteed contracted hours
24 hour shifts (which include an 8 hour sleepover)
You would work 2 x 24 hour shifts in a row (total 48 hours) so similar to a 'live-in' position
Full time = averages out at 37.5 hours per week guaranteed contracted hours
Part time = 24 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £11.00 per hour and £80.00 per sleepover (= £234 per 24 hour shift / £468 per 48 hour shift)We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Workers to join a specialist care team in the Amersham area. You will be supporting a gentleman with a Spinal Cord Injury, resulting from a motorcycle collision, and who lives at home with his partner and son.
The Role:
Provide support in all aspects of personal care.
You will be supporting this gentleman in all aspects of his everyday life and enable him to be as independent as possible, including accompanying him to work
Supporting the attendance of therapy rehabilitation, social activities and appointments.
Provide light domestic duties and food preparation.About You:
You will be motivational, encouraging and supportive.
It is essential you are trustworthy, flexible and reliable.
You will have a humorous personality and be able to fit in with general family life.
You will be able to take direction and have good communication skills both written & verbally.
Previous care experience is not essential; as full specialist training is provided throughout your employment.
A full driving licence is essential, driving an automatic vehicle
There are no pets at present in the home but this gentleman may be considering a dog in the future, therefore a tolerance of dogs would be essential.Shift Pattern:
08:00-22:00 waking day shift with a 22:00-08:00 sleepover (so working a full 24 hour shift) – you would work 2 x 24 hour shifts in a row each time
You will be working within a small team providing care and support all year round, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential.About the employer: This employer provide specialist care teams for individuals who live within their own homes. The client base is varied and includes Spinal Cord Injury, Acquired Brain Injury and other Neurological Conditions.
THIS IS NOT AN AGENCY JOB – IT IS A PERMANENT POSITION WORKING FOR A RESPECTED AND SPECIALIST CARE PROVIDER.
Working in 1 location – the client's own home (so, no travelling between clients).
