THE ROLE
IQ’s busy and fast paced marketing department are looking to take on a new member of the team to assist with all aspects of our digital B2B marketing activities. The role will be dynamic and include many aspects of online, digital and web-based marketing including online content creation, SEO and graphic design based activities. The marketing department is at the forefront of everything we do and is a fast paced, demanding, and exciting place to work. We are looking for an all-round digital marketer able to deal with a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. We would like the new member of the team to hit the ground running so are ideally looking for someone who has a background in marketing or has been studying marketing at University.
REPORTING TO the Marketing Director
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Content
– Generate new optimised content for our brand websites, focusing on our target audience and relevant keywords.
– Learn and understand technical architectural glazing and building terms in order to explain these to our technical architectural target audience via website content, this includes video, written content and graphics.
– Investigate and implement new content ideas to service our target audience
– Update and modify content on our catalogue of professionally designed websites using both WordPress CMS and Custom CMS systems, including image optimisation.
– Manage downloadable content from our websites, including updating and adding downloads when requested.
– Help improve and investigate the UX of our websites.
SEO
– Optimise our web-based images for image search, including adding alt text and optimising image sizes.
– Optimise metadata for landing pages to improve CTR.
– Optimise on page website content for all targeted keywords.
– Outreach for link building.
– Internal link building.
– Optimisation of social media and external sites such as Pinterest and YouTube.
– Research of key words and implementation of these into the marketing strategy
Social Media
– Manage multiple social media channels for various brands (including YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram).
Interact with followers daily.
– Generate and upload content for social media using appropriate tone and language.
– Help plan and strategise social media content.
– Investigate and implement ways to gain new and relevant followers.
– Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and platform updates
– Understand the role that social media plays in the larger marketing plan.
Design/Creative Works
– Create new marketing materials (such as data sheets) based on pre-designed document templates.
– Update and modify existing marketing documents as required.
– Generate icons, infographics and other formats to assist in explaining/demonstrating technical terms.
– Help plan new ideas for marketing documentation to assist the sales team.
General Marketing
– Idea generation for our digital marketing strategy.
– Competitor research (on social media, for keywords and general).
– Assist in the preparation of digital marketing material, such as digital presentations and content for showroom display boards.
– Organise photography and videography of our completed projects all over the world
– Organise and order branded marketing material as required.
– Understand the impact marketing has on our enquiries in and investigate ways to improve the quantity or quality of incoming sales enquiries
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
– Experience in digital marketing required with up to date knowledge of all current marketing channels.
– A passion and interest in SEO and website optimisation, preferably with some experience of keyword research tools such as Moz or SEM Rush.
– Detail orientated, able to pick up on technical aspects of products.
– Excellent written skills required – some experience with various types of content creation including web articles, case studies, social media posts and brochures.
– Understand social media platforms and how to use them to distribute content and gain more website traffic/enquiries.
– Be eager to learn new skills and proactive in their advancement.
– Highly computer literate (including all basic Microsoft software)
– Exceptional personal organisational skills required, able to manage a diverse workload.
– Creative and able to conduct basic graphic design tasks.
– Have a fast working, vigilant approach to tasks.
– Ability to work to a deadline independently.
– Be a self-starter, able to create workload and show initiative.
– Ability to work as part of a larger team.
– Personable and presentable.
– Be positive and proactive in approach and dynamic.
– Have an adaptable and flexible approach to working to deal with our busy and fast paced working environment.
Some experience of running AdWords and Facebook campaigns may be beneficial, although not essential
THE DETAILS
Location: Amersham
Salary: graduate role starting at £21,000 depending on experience and skills
Progression: unlimited scope for development and progression within the marketing department by taking on more responsibilities and developing new strategies.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week), 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1hr lunch.
Training: full in-house training offered
