The Planning and control of information flow, Resources, Materials, and Equipment through the manufacturing process from receipt of order through to despatch whilst ensuring that the Customer build requirements and companies business and financial objectives are also met.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, and collate information and Co-ordinate the information flow between all departments
• Plan equipment, material, and manpower needs for each requirement
• Produce and review production plans and identify and report any potential risks
• Work with all departments to ensure a timely delivery of orders on-time and to customer specifications/ expectations
• Communicate production updates to MD and Sales department on a regular basis
• Monitor inventory needs and liase with purchasing to avoid any shortages which may effect product deliveries.
• Ensure that customer orders and shipments are processed on time as per the required schedule
• Review and maintain the Live order book and establish priorities for build to ensure a timely delivery to Schedule.
• Own and maintain the works order prossessing.
• Maintain a safe working environment within the Company areas and ensure that all current Health and Safety legislation is observed. Including basic “house-keeping”.
• Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company.
Essential Criteria
• At least 2 years experience in a production control / Planning role.
• IT skills (to be able to use company business system with initial training).
Desirable Skills
• Microsoft project or similar training/experience in an Electro/Mechanical business environment.
• An understanding and experience of MRP systems
• Good team worker
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the business.
• Logical reasoning, with a “can do attitude”.
• Good organisational skills
