Context
Our client is one of the top-performing businesses in the FTSE index, comprising over 40 individual operating companies, operating in over 20 countries, and with a combined total of over 6000 employees worldwide.
Recognizing the importance of creating digital business models to sustain our growth, they are implementing a new group-wide IT strategy intended to facilitate future value creation through the increased adoption of both operational and strategic technology. The scope of the technology initiatives within this strategy span Enterprise and Business Application Architecture; Data and Analytics; Digital and IoT Platforms; and Core IT Infrastructure.
They are in the early stages of devising and launching these initiatives. They now need to build out a team of technology experts, architects, and delivery professionals to define the various solutions across the initiatives and facilitate the successful build and adoption of them.
Depending on the scope and objectives of different initiatives, adoption will occur at various levels within the organization, either at the group level, the OpCo level, or both.
To achieve successful results, they require intelligent, articulate, consultative professionals who fit their culture and can comfortably operate in our client’s autonomous and decentralised model.
Role Summary
The Business Change Lead will report to the Programme Director and is responsible for all aspects of change management across the various technology-driven projects of change.
The scope of digital transformation is extensive and far-reaching, so the Business Change Lead will need to set the Group’s agenda on change in the business processes.
Roles and responsibilities, and solution technologies are adopted by all affected parts of the organisation. The successful candidate will be able to clearly prioritise, define and deliver the change strategies for the different programmes, whilst simultaneously interacting with and effectively managing the multiple stakeholders involved at every level.
Role Responsibilities
Business Process Change
Working with Programme Manager to ensure the work of the programme, including the scope of each project covers all aspects necessary to deliver operational benefit
Identify key stakeholders and stakeholder groups, defining their goals and expectations, including their level of commitment and ability to influence the change process
Gain detailed knowledge of the business environment, management structure and culture to effect change
Develop the change acceptance strategy to ensure the intended change is implemented successfully
Develop/update a plan capturing the tasks the programme manager is accountable for delivering to achieve the business case
Contribute and review the “to be” business process design to understand organisation and role impacts
Administer change request process, impact assessment and coordinate with the programme manager
Business Readiness
Lead change management activities within a structured process and programme framework
Define the business readiness approach, business readiness scorecard and checklist and tools and conduct business readiness assessments to determine the organisations' readiness for deployment
Track business readiness progress, identify and execute corrective actions as needed to minimise risk
Evaluate resistance to change at all levels (user, process and technology)
Ensure effective, continuous and relevant communication is relayed appropriately to the project and workstream sponsors
Identify, develop and implement leadership interventions including support materials
Lead activities associated with transition management, ensuring BAU activities are maintained during transition and changes are effectively integrated into the business
Determine training and end-user support strategy/training and the end-user support plan
Support training as part of change management e.g. ensuring training is designed and delivered as per the requirements
Preparing the affected business areas for transition to new ways of working
Plan and conduct employee relations discussions as necessary

Profile Attributes
The role requires strong organisation and assertiveness skills combined with the ability to influence senior managers. Excellent communication and change management skills are required.
Operational Excellence – Previous experience in an Application Specialist / Business Analysis role in a rapidly growing global company. Must be comfortable with working across multiple complex work streams simultaneously.
Entrepreneurial “can-do approach” – Will be determined, creative, and resilient, with a ferocious work ethic. Will be highly resourceful and pragmatic and find a way to get to the right answer. Will be comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, high-growth investment environment.
Commercial, analytic & strategic – Will have demonstrated previous success in managing internal and external stakeholders and managing relationships with suppliers. Will have superb communication and negotiation skills with a strategic mindset, exceptional clarity of thought and problem-solving capabilities. Will adopt a hands-on approach and be close to the detail, as needed.

LocationThe office headquarters are located in Amersham. There will be a mixture of working in theoffice, travelling, and home working.
