Art teachers required in a well-equipped, large secondary school accommodates for teachers to help students express themselves through art. The curriculum is broad and balanced. Staff feel well supported and appreciate the range of professional development opportunities. Full time, long term position with a competitive pay available in Amersham.
You will be required to:
Find creative ways to relay the curriculum to students KS3 and KS4
Plan work in accordance with departmental schemes of work and national curriculum programmes of study.
Take account of pupil's prior levels of attainment and use them to set future targets.
Keep appropriate records of pupil's work.
Mark and return work set, including homework within an agreed and reasonable time.
Monitoring and setting targets for the social and academic progress of all pupils in the Sept.
Endeavour to build up a good relationship with the pupils in the Sept, so that they will look to you for support and advice.
We expect you to:
Have QTS, PGCE, NQT status or equivalent
Have experience teaching art to KS3 and KS4
Have completed a relevant degree or certificate
