Trainee Testing Technician
High Wycombe

£24,000 per annum + attractive benefits

Our client, a global specialist in fire safety and certification, is now seeking to source an ambitious Trainee Testing Technician to join their facility in High Wycombe.

Ideal candidate will have some technical knowledge/qualifications and be seeking to advance their career through further training and gain industry specific qualifications within the fire safety, testing and inspection industry. The business offers excellent career opportunities and advancement.

Responsibilities:
* Overseeing safe delivery of testing projects
* Liaison with clients to ensure that their testing requirements are fully met
* Working with test Technician teams
* Collaborating closely with technical and certification departments
* Conducting tests in accordance with the requirements, approved procedures and risk assessments
* Preparation of test reports and technical drawings using AutoCAD
* Maintenance of lab equipment
* Providing technical guidance where required or requested
* Delivering the project within the agreed timelines

Qualifications:
* Successful candidate will ideally come from a technical background in scientific, building or construction related work eg civil engineering, drainage, utilities etc with practical work experience or a graduate of Applied Science looking to start their career
* Ideally a knowledge of AutoCAD
* Project management experience would be desirable
* Excellent written communication skills
* Demonstrable customer skills, including an ability to establish a quick rapport with visitors and clients
* Good IT skills and can use Office 365 and bespoke CRM systems
* Confident decision maker
* Methodical and measured approach to problem solving
