Land & Development Manager Job in Buckinghamshire

I have a Land & Development Manager job opportunity available in Buckinghamshire for the residential development division of one of the UK's largest development and regeneration businesses.

As a Land & Development Manager for residential developments across the South East of England, you will be responsible for the purchase of land, supporting project cost, planning, marketing, programming, procurement, and management under the direction of the Regional Head of Developments. The region extends throughout the South East of England, including Hertfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Role & Responsibilities

– Negotiating terms for the acquisition of land or property and managing the purchase process
– Taking an active role in the planning process and working with stakeholders including local authorities to agree S106 and public consultation activities
– Responsible for the whole life cycle of sourcing land opportunities through to pre-construction and the start of on-site construction
– Support in the delivery of a programme of development schemes including major projects, partnership deals and land-led opportunities

Required Skills & Experience

– A proven track record in delivering a scope of works related to residential projects
– Experience taking projects from land acquisition to construction
– Ideally you will have experience of all housing tenures
– You will be highly numerate and as at ease analysing and making changes to complex financial models/appraisals as you are negotiating land deals.
– This role is home based covering the South East as a region. You will from time to time be required to attend meetings in Milton Keynes, so the ability to commute to Milton Keynes and within the region is essential
