Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking an Electronics Test Engineer based in Milton Keynes for a well-established print finishing company.

Salary: Competitive
Location: Milton Keynes
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: 37.5 hours working week, Monday – Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm

The role…

As the Electronics Test Engineer your role will involve the following important duties:

Inspection and test Electronic and Electrical assemblies.
Surface mount component PCBs inspection using Digital Microscope.
Virtually inspect PCBs and assemblies, checking solder and components.
Test PCBs using purpose-built test rigs.
Bench-test Electrical Assemblies. Some tests use Mains voltage 240v.
Conduct failure analyses. 
Develop test procedures and test jigs for new PCBs and assemblies.
Assist Production in fault finding electrical assemblies during machine test.
The experience required…

As a successful Electronics Test Engineer you will have the following:

2-3 years' experience within an electrical assembly role.
Experience with fault finding diagnostics. 
Be able to read and understand PCB circuit and wiring schematics.
Able to hand place and solder SMT components down to 0805 and through-hole components.
Able to use a reflow oven. 
Good manual dexterity.
Able to use various hand tools, i.e. crimp guns, spanners, screwdrivers etc.
Strong problem solving skills.
