Are you an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor?

Do you have experience working for a contractor and want the opportunity to become a Senior Quantity Surveyor?

Have you worked as a Quantity Surveyor on large residential refurbishment schemes?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a Main Contractor and help to manage millions of pounds of refurbishment projects across North London and Buckinghamshire

Project Quantity Surveyor responsibilities

* Control all expenditure and reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts

* To assist the Contract Manager with pre-start planning and programming

* Sub-contract procurement and commercial management

* Continual use of the sub-contract data base

* Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts

* Assisting and liaising with the buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities

* To manage the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting

* Change management control

* Develop an understanding of the designated contract, specification and pricing ensuring compliance with conditions throughout

Quantity Surveyor Qualifications:

* Experience with excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the supply chain and/or external clients to ensure the business maximises profit throughout contract schemes

* Technically knowledgeable of general regeneration and new build construction methods and how they are implemented including modern methods of construction, steel frame, concentre frame, JCT, NEC, PPC, etc

* 2 years post graduate experience within a surveying position reporting to either a senior surveyor or a commercial manager

* Experience with JCT suite of contracts in a main contractor background (desirable for new build roles)

* Desirable to have a clear understanding of H&S – SMSTS or SSSTS preferred or willing to work towards gaining certification
