About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We are recruiting for a Head of Planning to lead the planning function of the C23 main civil works contract, taking responsibility for its accuracy, performance monitoring and articulation.
In this role you can expect to work closely with the HS2 counterpart to present an integrated approach across both parties. You will be required to support the Project Directors in all scheduling related matters both internally and externally with the client.
You will be responsible for the accurate verification of data on Project progress. It will require you to lead the monthly clause 32 programme submissions to the client and you will be responsible for the guidance and direction to the planning function.
You must be able to challenge internal and external stakeholders to ensure all plans are realistic and appropriate. You must also be able to articulate the programme with confidence in presentations, conference calls and meetings to internal and external parties.
We expect you to take ownership of regular, timely and accurate reports (to agreed formats and timetable) on planning matters for both internal and client stakeholders. Overseeing the linking of cost estimates to the programme for time phase budget forecasting.
You will observe and apply professional ethics and maintain a duty of care. We also need you to work in accordance with company business management system policies and procedures.
About The Candidate
EKFB is a joint venture consisting of four companies delivering a multi-billion-pound major infrastructure project. You will be able to demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of the complexities this can bring to delivery and planning.
Along with experience on major infrastructure projects, you will have direct experience with the following –
Primavera P6 (advanced)
Excel (advanced)
Tilos (desirable)
Power BI (desirable)
4D software (desirable)
Recognised professional body membership such as ICE, APM or PMP qualified, professional with planning experience gained in a private sector organisation. Ideally in a multi-site, operational or contracting environment.
