ESRI UK are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Business Development Manager with good knowledge of working with the Local Government to join our successful sales team based in Aylesbury with hybrid working options available. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a good basic salary plus a bonus of up to 20%

Responsibilities of our Business Development Manager:
Developing and growing our business nationally within the Local Government Sector
Playing a key role in securing new business, with a focus on growing our involvement in larger programmes and transformation projects
Ensuring our customer's success, become their trusted GIS advisor, identifying decision-makers, and demonstrating to them our product capabilities, functionalities, and benefits
Identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing sales within our existing customer base, ensuring the proposals meet the required margins and cost of sale.
Working with the customer to develop a Customer Success Plan, identifying, and recommending the best use, and maximizing their ROI for using GIS within their organisation
Working with the wider sales team and other departments to help achieve targets
What we are looking for in a Business Development Manager:
Conceptually understand GIS technology, with the depth of knowledge to enable you to propose suitable GIS-based solutions
Have previous sales and business development experience and of negotiating with and supplying local government
Have knowledge of IT and systems suppliers into Local Government
Are commercially minded, with the ability to draw up compelling sales proposals
Can build strong and enduring relationships, with excellent networking, negotiation, facilitation, and communication skills
Have business development skills and expertise
Team player
Because of the types of data and clients we work with, all our positions require successful candidates to undergo a basic security clearance.

The location – We offer flexibility around location. You can opt for home-based working within the UK, or office based in either Edinburgh, Aylesbury, or Cambridge. There is also an opportunity to work a mix of both in a hybrid model. We work virtual-first with most of our customers, however, some travel to customer sites will be required.
