CONTRACT MIG WELDERS/FABRICATORS WANTED – MILTON KEYNES
X6 POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE START – MORE POSITIONS ADDED DUE TO ONGOING CONTRACT
6-12 MONTHS WORTH OF WORK
2 SHIFTS (MORNING AND AFTERNOONS) – 6:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00
10-12 HOURS STILL AVAILABLE
PLENTY OF O/T ON OFFER
Position Summary
ROLLING STOCK REFURBISHMENT AND REPURPOSING, CORROSION AND STRUCTURAL BODY REPAIRS
Ongoing work within rail/rolling stock engineering sector
*Inspection, replacement and repair of corroded sections of rolling stock
*Stripping damaged sections, window cut outs and whole floor replacement
*Solid wire MIG work working with predominantly mild steel from 2- 10mm – with MPI tested welds
*Welding new sections and infill pieces, variety of positions, including vertical and overhead required
*Experience with fabrication, use of grinders and plasma required
*Ability to work from verbal instruction and engineering drawings
All candidates will be required to successfully complete T fillet test pieces in Vertical Up and Overhead on 2mm and 5mm
UMBRELLA – FLAT RATE-
£25 PER HOUR
RISING TO
£27 PER HOUR – AFTER PASSING CODINGS
Hours per week:60+ (plenty of O/T available)
Take home weekly wage
£25 p/h – 50 hours = £796
£27 p/h – 50 hours = £846
£25 p/h – 60 hours = £922
£27 p/h – 60 hours = £982
+ £50 PER SHIFT ACCOMMODATION/TRAVEL ALLOWANCE FOR CONTRACTORS LIVING FURTHER THAN 50 MILES FROM SITE
(RECEIPTED EXPENSES REIMBURSEMENT)
Qualifications:
-Relevant NVQ,
-C&G,
-BTEC level 3 engineering or time-served.
-Knowledge and experience
-Previous MIG coding highly advantageous
