They are looking to recruit a permanent Health & Safety Adviser to join their Estates Team.
Paying between £34,304 – £36,382 per annum dependent on experience, working a 37 hour week at the Milton Keynes Campus, however could possibly be a hybrid role.
The role;
Health & Safety is of paramount importance across the University in ensuring our staff and facilities are safe whilst working at the Open University. We are looking for a Health and Safety Adviser to join our Health and Safety Team providing professional support to the Open University community.
As a Health & Safety Adviser you will help to deliver the implementation of policies across the Open University providing expert health and safety advice, promoting a positive health and safety culture and supporting exemplary practices. You will be involved in policy development, risk assessment, inspections/audits, investigations, health and safety training and emergency drills.
Skills and experience;
You will have demonstrable experience in a similar role and extensive knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
You will have NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or NVQ 5/6 in Health and Safety.
Experience of practical policy development and implementation.
Experience of consulting with employees and representative bodies including trade unions would be ideal.
