Our client is a well-established engineering company that manufactures products used within the automotive sector. Due to growth they are looking to take on a Production Engineer to join their team.
The Role:
My client is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to apply their process improvement knowledge within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
The Production Engineer is an extremely varied and fast-paced role, providing day-to day engineering support for factory operations, carrying out continuous improvement initiatives and managing the introduction of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day engineering support to onsite production activities
Undertake continuous improvement initiatives to reduce complexity and manufacturing costs of existing products
Manage and execute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to transfer products from R&D to the factory floor and/or external sub-contractors/suppliers
Identify processes that can be improved, simplified or automated
Design and introduce assembly equipment, tooling and fixtures
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience of manufacturing ideally within assembly
Some working knowledge of automation and automating processes is highly beneficial
A background in creating assembly line fixturing & equipment
Qualifications within a mechanical engineering focused field
Strong communication skills
The Package: Offering from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum
