40-45,000 basic salary (dependent upon experience)

Our client, a leading specialist supplier of solid hardwood floors and specialist under structure systems into residential projects are seeking to appoint a Woodcare sales manager to cover Southern England.
The Role
Reporting directly to the general manager your role will be to develop sales of the company’s lacquers & oils targeting professional floor sanders, contractors, and domestic floor finishes. 70% of your time will spent generating new business sales.
The successful candidate will be field based typically 4 days per week with an average of 3 pre booked appointments per day. During these calls you will be demonstrating the client’s lacquers & oils products to target end-users with aview to them switching their purchases from competitor brand’s
The role consists of selling to building owner maintenance staff, professional floor finishers and contractors.
Meetings will be organised through the following channels: Our clients comprehensive warranty scheme, technical days at customer job sites, distribution partner trade days, flooring industry skills training events, flooring trade exhibitions and customer site visits to the clients’ floors installed base.
The Person
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years proven sales experience within a flooring or related products environment.
Proven experience of systematic use of social media and messaging apps to create a community of trade professionals
Able to build rapport and establish credibility with trade professionals and trade distribution sales staff
Collaborative sales approach, in a fast-moving environment, and comfortable with change
Be IT savvy and competent in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database, Email and Internet.
The role covers the southern area of England and Wales with extensive travel part of the job. As this role is field based you must hold a valid driving licence and be comfortable working from home one day per week.
