Skilled Bodyshop & Technical Staff
Shift Patterns: Monday – Friday
Hours: 7am – 5pm
Salary: Up to £40,000 p/a
Igloo has some exciting opportunities for a team of automotive bodyshop and technical staff to work in new bodyshop on a permanent contract with our client based in High Wycombe.
Successful candidates will be joining an already established business that currently employs over 220 people across 12 UK sites but are still growing through purchasing more sites and have the ambition to become the best in the industry.
The Roles:
Paint Sprayer
As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the below:
* Ensuring that all vehicles are correctly masked and prepped up prior to going into the paint booth
* Undertaking any final prep work to the vehicle once in the booth if required
* Mixing and colour matching paints
* Painting cars to a high standard every time
* You will be responsible for the daily running of the spray booth
Panel Beater
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the below:
* Working on a range of vehicles.
* Re-shaping and repairing bodywork.
* Using Filler to repair damaged body panels.
* Mending rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork.
* Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork.
MET Technician
As a MET Technician, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the below:
* Diagnosis, repair and servicing of all vehicles
* Stripping vehicles ready for repair work
* Refitting vehicles after repair work
* Ensuring all parts are handles and stored correctly
* You will be working on a range of vehicles
* You’ll be working in a fast paced, modern, clean, well-equipped workshop
Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the below:
* To carry out post-accident damage assessments on used vehicles
* To liaise with 3rd party insurance companies
* To liaise with the Bodyshop Manager to arrange and prioritise the necessary repair methods required
* To upload data and information from vehicles inspections onto the computer systems,
* Ensure recovery costs for all work performed
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of the Audatex estimating system and will be able to demonstrate technical understanding of bodywork and paint repair techniques.
