Are you a senior geotechnical engineer/ geologist with Ground Investigation experience?
 
Do you have experience working on large infrastructure projects?
 
Location: Buckinghamshire
Rate: £400- £430 umbrella
Contract length: 10 months
 
Job Purpose:
– Responsible for providing information required to achieve scheme designs by demonstration via field trials
– Drive the field trials programme forwards to completion
– Provide guidance to other staff within the field trials team
– Liaise and update the lead engineer on the progress and direction of trials
– Undertake checking of scoping and specification documents produced by other team memebers
– Liaise with field trials team by attending regular progress meetings (multiple weekly)
– Oversee the exchange and processing of data received from field trials
– Interact with the design optimisation team and look to incorporate some of their requirements
 
Requirements:
 
– should have a well-rounded geotechnical design experience with focus on earthworks, slope stability, piled foundations, laboratoty testing and in-situ testing.
– should have experience in earthworks design, specification and implementation.
– should have understanding of the capabilties of GIS (Geographic information system)
– are requiresd to have a working knowedlge of HoleBASE, SI
– require experience in the use of other routine geotechnical design programs such as VDISP/PDISP and REPUTE.
– should be fully familiar with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc
