About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Service Desk professional to lead a busy IT Service Desk and its team Providing 1st and 2nd Tier Support to the business, including manning the IT Service Desk and resolving issues that come from it, ensuring a good customer experience and meeting service targets.
In this role you will be
managing the IT Support Officers and the IT Service Desk.
ensuring calls to the IT Support desk are managed in a professional way, any issues escalated correctly
providing a good customer experience, ensuring users are kept informed of what’s happening and that calls are updated and closed in a timely fashion.
Prioritising and managing team and own open cases establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers
Purchasing, Installing and configuring laptops and phones, and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults; replacing parts as required and
Supporting the roll-out of new applications and testing and evaluating new technology as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and has a good technical background with ability to explain complex solutions to non-technical people.

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
A history of providing support to end users to a high level of user satisfaction
The ability to learn new systems quickly
The ability to organise self and other and prioritise workloads under pressure
Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues in easy to understand language
The minimum qualifications required are English and Maths Grade C. Previous experience of working in an IT Service Desk environment and of working with Active Directory and supporting the Microsoft suite of products.
