Element has an opportunity for a Chain of Custody Technical Manager to join our BM TRADA business. This is a great opportunity to join a global player within the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector, Making Tomorrow Safer Than Today.

Responsibilities

* Provide leadership to the certification team on technical matters relating to chain of custody

* Provide data analysis of processes and performance as required

* Work with the team to raise standards

* In conjunction with the management team identify and develop skills within the team to promote transfer of knowledge and increase expertise

* Ensure changes to standards are communicated and implemented across the business including affiliate offices, audit team with auditors and certification decision makers

* In conjunction with the management team work to ensure workload priorities are understood and effectively managed

* Work to improve operational compliance and encourage and support the business towards organisational excellence within chain of custody

* Act as a point of reference during internal and external audits

* Lead taking responsibility for addressing internal audit non-conformities promoting continuous process improvement, including corrective and preventative actions

* Assist in the timely response to external audit findings through root cause analysis and implementation of corrections

* To always operate in accordance with Element’s Purpose, Mission, Vision and Values

* To work in accordance with all Element’s policies procedures and standards as all times

Skills / Qualifications

* Excellent operational, organisational and auditing skills and be experienced in applying this knowledge to make smart, impartial, technical decisions to all aspects of the certification and accreditation process

* Good communication and interpersonal qualities, including coaching, mentoring and leading by example

* Strong IT skills, including MS Office suite and bespoke business systems

* Broad knowledge of certification business activities.

* Previous experience in chain of custody scheme management experience

* This role can be remote within the UK
