Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.

They are looking to recruit a number of Telephone Fundraisers to work within the Development Office. This role is for 14.5 hours a week and could work 4 evenings a week or two evenings 5pm – 9pm and Saturday 11am – 6pm, paying £10.71ph. This role is working in the Milton Keynes campus, with the possibility of hybrid working after the training.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to work in an expanding team, responsible for generating significant philanthropic revenue for the client. The Development Office is central to the strategic aims and goals, and due to its success is expanding year on year.

Callers will be required to:
1. Make calls to selected Alumni graduates to;
§ Build on our relationship with them and make them feel important to the OU
§ Most importantly, ask them for a donation to support our work
§ Update them on current benefits, news and other activities
2. Keep accurate records of all calls made on a computer system

The Development Office gains financial support from OU graduates, trusts, foundations, companies and other individuals. We raise money for students who need financial help, support for disabled students and other university projects such as our extensive work in teacher training in Africa.
