We're looking for a CHP Engineer to work for our client.
They are engineering, installation and after-care support of low carbon gas-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant, fast response balancing peaking plants, and mission-critical standby diesel generation. They support the growth of decentralised low carbon power generation, helping businesses improve energy efficiency, cost savings, power resilience, and emission reduction as we collectively move towards achieving net-zero.
If you can demonstrate experience of in-depth knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines then you could be perfect for our client and we'd love to see your CV.
Please note: In this position you'll be needed to work some weekends, and occasionally some unsociable hours. Full details of how this will work will be revealed at interview.

Responsibilities:
– Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on installations. Ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved, you will efficiently diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on our client’s installations, as well as other user’s installations
– Generator fault finding
– Working in a field-based role maintaining CHP sets

Requirements:
– Experience of in-depth knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines
– Additional experience of being a time-served technician in a mechanical/electrical discipline, ideally with at least three years’ experience
– Further experience of generator servicing and maintenance
– A full UK driving licence
– NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds level 2 qualification in mechanical /electrical engineering or motor vehicle studies
– Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office
– Able to work unsociable hours
– Able to work both independently and as part of a team
– Well presented, punctual and organised – you are the face of the business! Good clear communication skills are also required as you will be liaising with clients and other trades on a daily basis
– A full driving licence is needed for this role

– Basic salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
