Title: Development Director

Rytons Associates are delighted to have been exclusively retained by an unrivalled developer to secure a new Development Director.

The Development Director will be responsible for establishing a place-making vision for a new 4,500 unit site and all its associated infrastructure including schools, a new country park and employment space. With acquisition of the site completing in mid 2022 and first residential completions expected in 2025, you will be lead on securing all necessary planning consents, managing the external stakeholders and driving the development programme.

Due to the location of the role and the autonomy that affords this position, the Development Director will be responsible for building and leading an on site team. 

Key Duties:

Build a project team from internal departments or where appropriate external sources to ensure the project can be managed effectively
Develop, maintain, monitor and report against detailed development appraisals and development cost and finacial plans/budgets and programmes
Ensure that town planning for the scheme is concluded in a robust and deliverable manor

Requirements of the role:

Development Director level experience of leading on major, multi-phased residential-led development
Formulating and cystallising through planning a place making vision
Lead on land disposal strategies including RSL's, PRS and extra-care providers
Taking a long-term perspective to deliver impactful, safe and sustainable results
The ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
