Job Profile
As a key member to the team, you will manage specific customer design and project requirements to ensure a smooth uptake from design concept to production, considering technical and commercial optimisation for the benefit of the application.

Duties:

* Technical customer liaison and contact for all AM projects and orders to ensure successful delivery of client’s projects and orders

* Fixing & Redesigning of unsuitable customer geometry

* Preparation of customer data for printing. This may include minor/major fixing and post processing considerations

* Where appropriate us topology optimisation design strategy

* Setting up of builds to strict a schedule using Magics 3D printing software, ensuring lead-times are competitive and vigorously met

* Operation of the company’s state-of-the-art 3D printers (when required)

* Leading on the issuing of quotes for the company’s AM services

* Planning and Scheduling projects/manufacture and machine utilisation

* Management of risks in relation to project/order timing and budget adherence

* Internal liaison with Business Development, Production and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of orders/projects to customers

* Support business needs to ensure output deliverables are achieved

* Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and perform any other reasonable duties as required

Skills & Attributes:

* Sound engineering knowledge

* Obtained 1- 2 years’ experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

* Whilst the above is not vital, a strong passion for 3D printing/new technologies is desired, demonstrable by either personal projects and or prior work experience

* Knowledge of 3D printing software (Preferably Magics) would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided

* Competent within MS Office

* Previous exposure to technical drawings and drawing specifications

* Understand the importance of KPI- driven performances

* Good understanding of quality requirements & procedures

* Exposure to materials science and manufacturing processes is desirable

* Degree in any of the following, or similar to: –

* Product Design/ Industrial Design

* Design Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering

* Solidworks or Catia Trained: – knowledge of other CAD packages are desirable

* Good understanding of current manufacturing techniques and design for manufacture

* Ability to produce accurate and detailed reports on technical investigations

* English, Maths, literacy to a good competence level

* Competent with Microsoft Packages

Hours of Work:

40hrs per week

9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
