We don’t like the terms sales; we feel it has a certain misconception. Although this role has a sales element, we like to call you protection advisers. We don’t see you as selling insurance, we see you as advising our clients on the best policy for them.
We are not your typical corporate company, which is why we use different language that falls more in line with our culture. For example, Human Resources department, is our people and culture team, Board of directors are our Chiefs, and our staff are our ‘Searchers.
Insurance Sales Executive
Salary: £25k Basic with OTE of £30-35k with bonus and commission structure.
Location: Milton Keynes, MK9 1AT (This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office, with a rota with a variety of shift patterns.)
Employment Status: Full-time, permanent.
We work closely with our partners to find the right cover that is tailor made to each family we speak to. You will find out pretty much everything about them to be able to find them the right insurance which falls in line with what they can afford but also provides the level of cover they are looking for.
You need to be a good listener, have high attention to detail and accurately keep records. You will be taking on many tasks in the day so being able to manage your time will be key. You need to be able to ask the right questions to do a thorough fact find with the family to find out all about their health. This can mean learning about new health conditions that will require some research to be able to find the right insurance. No two families will ever be the same so even our Searchers who have been with us a long time are still learning new things.
