Summary
The Head of HR is a key position on the Senior Management Team, responsible for planning and driving the HR Strategy to achieve our growth plans. We have big ambitions, both within the UK and globally. As Head of HR you will provide a commercially focussed HR service, have a direct impact on the growth of the brand and enhance our employee experience and effectively manage risk.
Purpose
Drive the HR Strategy to enable us to achieve our growth plans, enhance our employee experience and effectively manage risk.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop an HR Strategy to support business growth both within the UK and influence HR globally
* Ensure we have an HR framework that supports the Company’s ethos and growth ambitions
* Work closely with colleagues globally to develop and embed a desired culture across the organisation, taking the lead in the UK
* Champion business change and continuous improvement initiatives
* Provide expertise on all people policies, terms and conditions of employment, HR processes, employee relations issues and employment law
* Work with external partners to support employees in locations outside of the UK
* Ensure audits/reviews are undertaken of all HR related documentation, HR processes and employee data, ensuring they are legally compliant (including meeting GDPR requirements), accessible to the right people and are simple to use
* Lead the Talent Acquisition process, ensuring our employment value proposition is competitive and we have developed a pipeline of quality candidates
* Enhance our employee experience, through effective preboarding, onboarding, career development plans, including fulfilling their personal career aspirations
* Manage the reward and recognition schemes, ensuring they drive the right behaviours in line with organisational culture and business objectives as well as supporting career development
* Lead on all HR related projects and initiatives including organisational design, Equality & Diversity, employee Health & Safety, employee wellbeing and employee engagement
* Lead CSR, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy
* Manage, coach and motivate others in the team
* Be a coach, sounding board, mentor for senior managers
* Drive appropriate Learning & Development initiatives for both managers and employees to equip them with skills and knowledge required to undertake their roles effectively and to enable their career development
* Be the UK lead for “Culture by Design”

Requirements
* Level 7 CIPD or significant experience gained in a senior, generalist HR role
* Previous experience in a standalone HR role is beneficial
* Previous experience of supporting change management, organisational improvement, and employee engagement projects
* High level of employment law knowledge, always keeping up to date with changes to legislation
* Good all-round competencies in MS 365 applications

* Must be comfortable managing both strategic projects and day to day operational issues
* The ability to handle difficult situations sensitively and with discretion
* Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly and convincingly articulate a problem and a proposed solution.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
* A self-starter who can show results and actively keeps up their own continued professional development
* Strong commercial and business acumen with a pragmatic approach
