Purpose of the role:

To help vehicle development and test team perform tests, collect data, troubleshoot issues, and create a polished final product. The calibration technician will be a talented and mobile individual that is motivated to create robust and polished commercial vehicles with thorough testing, fault-finding, and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with test engineer and development lead to create and schedule vehicle test plans.

* Perform tests and collect data on all vehicles, and transmit/summarize data for relevant team members.

* Detect abnormalities in any vehicle attributes, capture it through documentation and troubleshoot with team.

* Travel with or to vehicle to perform tests or troubleshoot issues, and escalate any issues as necessary.

* Address hardware or high-level software issues directly, or work with relevant team members to ensure issues are addressed.

* Assist prototype technicians during vehicle build process.

Skills:

* Demonstrated ability in calibrating vehicles against objective and subjective standards.

* Ability to understand basics of vehicle software (CAN), data acquisition tools, and hardware design.

* Creative, lateral thinking to find both temporary and permanent solutions to issues.

* Demonstrated excellence as a technician.

* Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly about needs and issues.

Attributes:

* Hands-on experience either in professional or personal environments (Personal projects, working with factory floor, etc).

* Experience working in small, collaborative environments.

* Ability to create and maintain their own momentum in workplace.

* Evidence of lateral thinking in agile environments.

* Good attitude and optimistic towards future.

* Strong work ethic and genuine humility.

Qualifications:

(Essential)

* 5+ years prototype vehicle experience

* Valid UK/EU driving license

* Automotive background

(Desirable)

* 10+ years prototype development experience

* Automotive EV / PHEV experience

* Some form of High Voltage training

* Experience with classic cars and/or vehicle restoration
