Mechanical Fitter – Fabrication and Welding

A market leading Automotive Engineering company are seeking an Mechanical fitter with fabrication and welding experience.

Role requirements / Responsibilities:

+ Preparation and cutting material to size in preparation for assembly as per drawing.
+ Manufacture / assemble as per drawing.
+ Welding framework together.
+ Liaison with Design/Programmes Engineers during design and manufacture
+ Fabrication of sheet metal components to represent automotive environment.
+ Fit out the test rig as per customer requirements.

Skills / Experience

+ Broad mechanical fitting experience.

+ Sheet metal fabrication experience.
+ Experience of medium to heavy assembly work
+ Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
+ Broad manufacturing experience in the production of fixtures and fittings.
+ Experience of machining and hand tools – i.e. drill, lathe, metal folding, milling machines
