Staff Nurse – Mental health/ Learning Disability
Salary: £26ltd pH – £30ltd pH
Location: Milton Keynes
Service Care Agency are currently looking to recruit a registered Mental Health Nurse and/ or a Learning Disability Nurse to work ADHOC ( Flexible) shifts or a block booking contract with a private Secure Mental Health Service in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
The service offer medium, low secure and acute services for patients who have been detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 and have a history of offending behaviour and they also offer a rehabilitation intensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) service
This service has 7 wards, 2 Medium secure, 2 Low secure wards, 1 DBT ward and 1 acute wards and 5 step down apartments.
Job role
The role will include leading the implementation of a nursing assessment, planning and evaluation of person-centred care of both the patient's physical and mental health needs.
You will be assisting service users to improve their health and well-being so they can live a happier and more independent life. The shifts are flexible as and may lead to block bookings or a Locum contract for the right candidate.
Hourly Pay
£26 ltd pH for weekdays with uplifting rates for nights and weekends
Requirements
NMC registration
Qualified Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse
Valid Right to work in the UK
Experience working with mental health within a similar setting
Positive can do attitude
IT literate
Excellent communication skills
Previously completed Control and Restraint training within the last 12 months or willing to complete a face to face course What in it for you?
