Our client is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist. With huge growth potential, this will be an excellent opportunity for the right person to truly make their mark. You will be responsible for overseeing the department and the relevant team members (1 x Trainer and 1x HR & H&S administrator) This role will suit someone from an SME background with experience in an industrial (Blue Collar) environment who is comfortable with working on the day to day HR issues as well as being proactive and forward thinking.
We are looking for someone with energy, drive, enthusiasm and good pace. We expect this role to be fulfilling due to the range of strategic projects and priorities.
Are you confident in advising the Board and 1st Line Management on any Employee Relations / Legislation issues? You will need to be up to date and strong in ER.
Are you known for being driven, direct and able to react quickly to situations that require it, striving to provide solutions whilst applying your commercial acumen?
Are you resolute in focusing on results and to tackle any problems or conflicts which get in the way despite opposition or resistance?
Are you able to Mentor, Counsel, Coach and generally support those in the business who are not confident in their area of competence, building morale and personal esteem and generally encouraging others to give their best performance?
This position calls for candidates who are looking to challenge established practices and make recommendations for improvement / best practice.This is a senior role with the responsibility of EHS and Training for over 100 staff. You will be a member of the Executive Committee Team, regularly reporting to the other committee members and stakeholders on your strategy, progress and results. You will also be contributing to the overall business development and success
Requirements / Qualifications:
To be successful you'll have experience in Employee Relations and Employment Legislation, strong administrative experience dealing with highly confidential matters and be comfortable juggling multiple priorities. Experience working in a standalone HR role is essential as is experience within an SME business together with Blue and White collar. You will have CIPD Level 7 or equivalent and be working in a role of a similar nature.
NEBOSH or similar qualification is preferable but not essential. Experience in dealing with Health & Safety issues is essential
