Venesky-Brown is currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager on behalf of Vescala to work within their construction team on a permanent basis with a salary of £50,000 – £65,000 per annum. This role will require travel, we are looking for candidates based in Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or London

Vescala was created in 2020 initially to support the construction and civil engineering industry with the adoption of technology to streamline the procurement of temporary labour. Using the senior management’s combined >30 years’ experience in the sector we created a service around state-of-the-art software that gives control back to our clients.

About The Job
This is a sales-based role that will require travel and networking in the construction sector. We will be looking for someone to sell the Vescala concept to the key operational stakeholders at target clients. The Business Development Manager will be assisted by a technology experts and business analysts to make sure we can deliver what our clients need.
More specifically:
Relationship Development – Creating and build relationships with key client stakeholders, both operational and executive level. People generally don’t like change but if you can properly articulate the benefits and show they outweigh the risks and costs they generally come round!
Lead generation and management of sales pipeline – You’ll be responsible for creating leads, managing them and creating key account sales strategies. You’ll be supported with this but will be expected to take responsibility for ensuring we are working these accounts to completion.
Bid Proposal/Writing – some of our opportunities are formal tender processes, when this is the case you will support in bid writing and ensuring we submit the best tender possible.
Pitching/Sales Presentation – the raw sales stuff in its finest form. This person will undertake sales presentations to prospective new clients, tailoring the content to the audience. It won’t just be operations you’ll find yourself speaking to finance, procurement, HR & IT personnel too! When it gets to Board level, you’ll have support from our Sales Directors.
Contract Management/upselling – You’ll be the primary point of contact for senior staff at our current clients, understand the client labour requirements and facilitate the hiring of new workers through Vescala, this means no program leakage! If you can upsell to these guys even better.
Develop Vescala technology and service – work with the wider Vescala team to improve service we offer where possible suggest potential technology improvements based on feedback from clients. We want to make sure the Vescala resourcing solutions remain innovative and market leading.
Attending conferences and exhibitions
About You
Recruitment experience in any sector would be useful. The role would suit someone who has got a 360 recruitment background who would like to take a step up.
If coming from a Construction background and looking to learn the tech this role would suit ex Project Managers, Site Agents and similar management roles, people looking for a more structured role with higher potential.
If you combine the above two and you have experience in Construction Recruitment then your half way to being hired!
Demonstrable track record within the Construction Sector is highly desirable
Previous experience of selling MSP, Neutral Vendor or RPO solutions would be hugely beneficial but an proven sales track record is good
Solid understanding of the temporary staffing, interim and consultancy marketplace
Your communication skills will be outstanding, particularly when it comes to speaking with key client contacts. You will be articulate and persuasive!
A driving licence will be essential unless you like spending hours on trains and buses!
You know your way around Microsoft PowerPoint and MS Teams – this will save you have to do everything face to face but don’t worry there’s plenty of sales and marketing collateral already prepared so won’t need to create any documents

Salary £50k – £65k based on experience, OTE £100 – £120k
