We're looking for a talented Logistics Manager to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with a demonstrable background in managing all aspects of the frozen logistics supply chain.

The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director and based in the company's High Wycombe office, as the Logistics Manager, you will be primarily accountable for managing all aspects of company logistics including all transport planning with stores, internal transfers and logistics, stores picking & despatch and external 3rd party logistics. You will also ensure raw material and finished goods are produced in full and on time. You will drive business improvements through continuous improvement activities and performance management. Ultimately, ensuring the product is delivered to the customers in full, within specification and in the most cost-efficient way.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
* Managing a small team, ensuring the product is delivered in time in full through the 3pl partners
* Driving costs out of the supply chain both internally and externally
* Developing and mentoring your team to grow and excel
* Working in partnership with the Procurement Manager to instil and drive a lean and efficient supply chain
The Candidate:
The ideal person for this Logistics Manager role will have relevant background in managing all aspects of the frozen logistics supply chain.
You'll also need a background in:
* Managing 3pl partnerships
* Operational EDI systems (Sage would be a bonus)
* Dealing with multiple customers/retailers
* Temperature-controlled products, chilled or frozen
In addition, you'll need the following:
* A determined, passionate and solid influencing personality
* Confidence when communicating both internally and externally
* Creative thinking with a strong customer-focused approach
You'll also need to be able to travel to the manufacturing site in Cheshire once per month.

The Package:
Basic salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
