An Estimator is required to work for a well-established design and build company that undertake, office fit outs, M&E works, full refurbishments, lighting and security systems.

The right Estimator would be working with a small dynamic team and the successful person should ideally have a few years’ experience working within an electrical, mechanical or construction estimating position. You would be using your estimating abilities on small works right up to projects ranging in the millions. The right Estimator will have the opportunity to grow within the company as there is plenty of work to impress.

Estimator – Position Overview

Some of the duties of the role include but are not limited to the following;

* Using IT software for tendering and project management

* Maintaining excellent relations with both builders, professional teams and directly with end user clients

* Liaising with wholesalers and manufactures to ensure best value procurement

* Issuing technical approvals of plant and materials including requests for information

* Undertaking material take-off’s and ordering of materials

* Office based role but travel to site is necessary for site surveys and client meetings

Estimator – Position Requirements

* Experience in interiors/construction estimating is required. Commercial sites (offices/warehouses) are preferred

* Must have experience in pricing from surveys and producing a quotation based on our own labour and materials

* Experienced of pricing from spec and drawings or tender would also be useful

* Able to manage a wide range of projects

* Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

* Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards

* A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects

* Commercially aware with a good grasp of operating under different forms of contracts

* Must hold a valid Driver’s Licence

* Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point

* Experience in a similar estimating position

Estimator – Position Remuneration

* Salary between £30k – £45k depending upon experience

* Car allowance £5k per annum (sometimes not applicable straight away)

* Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm
