Our Client, a World recognised and respected Automotive OEM Manufacturer are actively seeking a Sales Specialist based in Newport Pagnell.
Job Purpose:
To maximise the sales and profitability of vehicles and associated products through the satisfaction and retention of customers.
To develop the necessary sales organisation and resource to achieve performance objectives.
To ensure the optimum stock of vehicles is on premises and/or on order.
To maintain cost control inline with agreed objectives and plan.
To create an environment where the department and its staff develop and excel.
To enhance the reputation of the Dealership at every opportunity when interacting with othersKey Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Provide all customers with a level of service that will achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty.
Seek to improve all aspects of quality and minimise customer complaints, dissatisfaction and defection.
Develop all members of staff to achieve the highest levels of performance in order to guarantee a. & b. above.Administration:
Maintain robust and reliable administration systems to ensure that all records are accurate and kept up to date.
Ensure that customer sales and order processes are maintained correctly to avoid delay, mistakes or extra cost.
Ensure dealership safety and security procedures exist and are operated at all times.
Monitor cleanliness of showroom, forecourt sales area and other sales-related areas.Communication and Interaction:
Maintain a professional working relationship with all other departmental managers.
Advise Dealer Principal/General Manager and all other managers on all matters relating to new and used vehicle sales and associated products.
Share with the sales team all news, facts and information relating to the products sold, rival products, and market developments.
Maintain a professional working relationship with manufacturers’ representatives and those of other organisations.
Work with other managers to formulate sales and marketing promotions as appropriate.
Ensure adequate product display and point of sale material is available and visible.Qualification & Experience:
Selling and marketing skills, knowledge and experience of the retail motor industry at a high level.
Exceptional customer facing and interpersonal skills to enable difficult situations to be overcome successfully.
An ability to negotiate effectively and at a high level together with good numeracy and literacy skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices.
