Our client, a growing manufacturing solutions provider have a great opportunity to join their procurement team as a Planner/Buyer. On a full time permanent basis at the office located near Aylesbury. The role is office based however offers flexibility and Friday early finishes.
You will be working as part of the supply chain team for a specific commodity with some of the UK's leading automotive, aviation and defence contracts within the business.
Responsibilities include:
Plan stock flow and support short and medium-term stock planning.
Support with Inventory Management / levels / stock targets.
Working closely with overseas team to coordinate with far East suppliers.
Working closely with internal customers on delivery and stock levels.
Ensure OTIF deliveries and progress OTIF actions from Monthly data.
Work on current or new projects that fit in line with improving any of the above responsibilities.
Negotiating with suppliers to drive cost reduction. Required:
Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel).
Excellent phone manner.
Team player.
Ability to work at a fast pace in a changing environment.
Previous Supply Chain or Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
