Our client, is a public distance learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.

They are looking to recruit an experienced temporary Policies and Projects Assistant in the Safeguarding team. This role is to start ASAP until 31 July 2022, working 37hrs a week and paying £14.51 ph. This role will be a hybrid role work from home and the Milton Keynes office. Equipment will be supplied.

About the role

The role holder will be a member of the Central Safeguarding Referrals Team and will provide support to the Open University's Validation Partnership Team to ensure that policies aligned to the University's duty of care with respect to children and vulnerable adults, and to work with relevant legislation and the Office for Students (OfS) Guidelines.

Key responsibilities;

Provide high quality, effective support to the Open University's Validation Partnership Team with reviewing prospective partners polices and providing feedback to ensure compliance
Support the Senior Manager with special projects as required, including the development of a Quality Assurance framework.
Support the Senior Manager, with the implementation of and recommendations following internal and external audits
Set up and maintain databases/spreadsheets and use them to produce regular high-quality reports for stakeholders to ensure our internal policies are regularly updated and are fit for purpose.Key tasks include;

Will help coordinate some of the key milestones and papers for various senior meetings
Minutes/actions for meetings – need an effective minute taker to understand the content of our meetings
Busy diary support
Previous experience of working in a busy PA/Project role

The successful applicant for this post will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS/Access NI/ PGV check.
