In-house Accounts assistant / Bookkeeper – Tring
Regular full time, part-time role
Salary and team performance related bonus
Salary £22-26K per year pro rota
Hours: Part-time, 4 or 5 days per week, 5 hours per day based in our office. Option to work from home after training completion.
Holiday 31 days, increases 1 day per year up to 5 days
Waste King is a specialist collections company established for over 12 years. We operate a skip hire brokerage business on a nationwide scale and a commercial hazardous waste solutions business locally. We are now looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper/accounts assistant or an applicant who wants to reduce their workload but keep stimulated at work.
You will be responsible for preparing daily bank reconciliations, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports across the Waste King Group of companies, as well as maintaining the accounting systems on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts to the directors on time each month.
Additionally, you will be responsible for submitting the quarterly VAT returns and preparing information for the payroll agency to enable them to calculate the monthly payrolls, as well as assisting in maintaining and reconciling the purchase and sales ledgers. You have one experienced colleague supporting the data processing, debt collection, and purchase ledger processes.
This position would suit an existing Bookkeeper, or experienced Accounts Assistant looking for their next challenge.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar environment, working experience of Sage and/or Xero, and be familiar with all aspects of bookkeeping including fixed assets and depreciation.
