Senior Coordinator & Bid Writer

Our well-established and ambitious client is going through an exciting period of growth. This is a fantastic time to be joining their dynamic business. They are seeking team members with skills in sales coordination and technical bid writing. The successful candidate will contribute to each stage of the bid process from enquiry to pitch to order within their regional territory. The Senior Coordinator & Bid Writer role is also expected to support more junior roles in the team with their learning & development.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Being the main point of contact for your assigned Area Sales Managers.
· Reviewing of Invitation to Tender documents, creating & executing an action plan for this.
· Reviewing and editing standard documentation for incorporation into bids.
· To liaise & proactively collaborate with colleagues across the business to gain comprehensive and relevant information and content for inclusion in bids.
· Drafting of method statements and content based upon the customer tender requirement.
· Effectively managing bid timelines & each project milestone (multiple projects at once) to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget with all key information to respond to the Tender included.
· Providing quotations and product information to new & existing clients as required.
· Adjusting pricing and creating the final quote and documentation packs using bespoke systems, MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
· Supporting the development and maintenance of the Bid Library.
· Keeping detailed records and maintaining accurate data in the various systems.
· Raising and processing direct supply orders to the factory.
· Raising invoices.
Skills and experience required:
· Proven track record of successful bid writing & creating compelling sales documents including pricing & quotations.
· Proven track record of prioritising workload to meet agreed timescales & deadlines for multiple projects.
· Experience of Bid Project Management & tendering for Local Authorities.
· Excellent PC/ IT skills with business systems & Microsoft packages.
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Experience of the construction/ landscape or similar industry.
· Track record of thriving in a dynamic team & fast paced environment.
· Demonstrates coaching & support of junior members within the team.
· Structured and accurate, especially with data input, excellent attention to detail is a must.
· A quick learner, able to comprehend and process technical construction information.
· Accommodating with a positive 'can-do' attitude under pressure.
· Has a professional commitment to excellent customer service.
· Must have a flexible approach to working hours, as business needs dictate
