CONTRACTS MANAGER (ARCHITECTURAL GLAZING)
My client is an award-winning specialist with over 100 years of experience in the Architectural glazing parts industry. They estimate, design, supply, manufacture, install, and maintain aluminium and steel curtain walling, windows, doors, and brise soleil.
Their mission is to be regarded as the UK’s No1 supplier in the high-end architectural glazing industry, whilst never compromising on their quality or service. They are an approved specialist Schuco supplier, who offers cost effective design solutions to luxurious and complex architectural specifications.
Contracts Manager Role:
The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing workers in various departments who are assigned certain tasks to complete for a given project. The job description of a contracts Manager will involve creating schedules and following up with workers to ensure that each phase of a project proceeds as planned.
The Contracts Manager is ultimately responsible for the smooth delivery of projects from start to finish whilst ensuring this is done in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Contracts Manager Principle Accountabilities:
Coordinates the efforts of various workers to ensure that required tasks can be accomplished – Develops a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for a given project – Creates a budget for the completion of a particular job and monitors the amount of money spent to ensure the project does not exceed this amount – Recommends changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results – Develops an alternate course of action for completing a job should the initial plan fail – Makes presentations to business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project – Reviews proposals and approves or denies them – Contracts with outside agencies for support on an as-needed basis – Oversees daily activity of the team – Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed – Provides advice and guidance to other employees – Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines – Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs – Improves existing systems and policies – Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner – Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace – Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees – Ensures consistent communication with clients on project stages, deliveries, milestones, and issues.
Contracts Manager Experience Required:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract and or project management.
* Worked within the glazing and façade industry for minimum of 5 years.
* Exceptional time management and project planning skills.
* Technical understanding of Schuco Sytems, cladding and glazing.
* Covering design, procurement, and installation.
