We are recruiting for a Purchasing administrator who is responsible for all goods purchasing within the business which will be handled by the supplies department. The purchasing administrator is responsible for research, ordering, stock management, stock picking, and loading of driver vehicles. The desired candidate must demonstrate attention to detail while following departmental processes to ensure accurate stock control and department financial & asset stability. Due to the diverse nature of the role the candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks including purchasing, managing suppliers, digital and verbal communication with colleagues including administering the central email box. With a dynamic, fast paced environment, the desired candidate will have a positive can-do attitude and support other team members within the supplies team.
Purchasing Administrator Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Administrator is responsible for purchasing all goods and services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Ensuring all purchases are carried out in compliance with Sasse’ procurement policy. They are responsible for building and maintaining supplier relationships, to negotiate with suppliers for improved prices, terms of business and review opportunities. They are responsible for managing and maintaining stock, product and pricing information as well as ensuring digital and procedural processes are adhered to. The department is extremely fast paced, ever growing and the role is high demand. The turnaround times for quotations and stock information is 24 hours so the correct candidate needs to be able to prioritise and openly communicate any barriers to success whilst also offering proactive solutions to problems.
Purchasing Administrator Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a positive approach to teamwork and customers. The ideal candidate will have experience within our industry in terms of purchasing (cleaning and FM), and or equivalent purchasing experience. They will be confident and experienced in negotiation and management of supplier agreements. They will have proactive approach to work, in particular problem solving and forward planning. The correct candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong analytical approach to work. They will be honest and professional in their approach to work. They will possess a thorough understanding of the necessary IT skills, specially the Microsoft suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as an understanding and ideally experience with digital tools and systems within supply chain and logistics management.
