A leading supplier of school wear in Milton Keynes has an exciting opportunity for a Store and Online Retail Assistant to become part of a much valued and highly regarded, local service. This is a busy and varied role covering all aspects of providing first class service to customers in store, on the phone and online. Overtime is available during the summer months and the company also offers an annual bonus and discount on any purchases made in store.

As a Store and Online Retail Assistant your main responsibilities will include:

Serving customers in the store which will include helping them locate the correct uniform for their child according to which school they are going to and helping them with sizing.
Replenishing and pricing stock in the store.
Answering the phone and dealing with callers’ queries ensuring the best possible outcome.
Providing information to online customers such as the progress of their order or assisting them with placing or amending their order.
Updating the computerised stock and order systems.
Working on the click and collect desk assisting customers in store who are picking up their online orders.

The successful Store and Online Retail Assistant will have the following skills and availability:

Flexible to take on a variety of roles and be able to multi-task between them with efficiency and accuracy.
Enjoys providing excellent customer service both in person, over the phone and online.
Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word. (Training will be provided on using the order and stock software systems.)
Previous experience working in a retail, sales, customer service and/or shop assistant role.
Available to work full-time 37 and a half hours per week which includes working every Saturday and some Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during August. (Due to the nature of our business annual leave cannot be taken by any employees during July, August and September.)

In return, you will receive a pay rate of £9.50 per hour.
