As the IT Director, you will create and execute the IT strategy to ensure IT capabilities are fit for purpose and deliver the correct blend of quality, timeliness and cost parameters supporting all operational delivery requirements. Working with the leadership team to create a strategic transformation programme and then to lead the IT team to successfully implement that, working with the business whilst also being responsive to the day-to-day needs of the business and leading delivery of IT services that underpin the business activities, building a capable, progressive, effective, agile and responsive IT team.

Location: Nr Milton Keynes + Remote Hybrid Working.

Duration: Permanent Appointment.
Salary: £80,000 – c£110,00 pa depending on experience, + bonus + pension + Family BUPA + Life Insurance.
Responsibilities. As IT Director you will contribute to the development of strategic and tactical decisions across the business, developing and leading IT strategies to support the business strategy improving all aspects of IT delivery. You will control all IT-related purchasing and budget usage, working with Finance to develop budgets, forecasts and business cases as well as select and manage third-party vendors and partners.
You will lead a team of managers who oversee and direct all IT resources in all aspects of the delivery of IT services, availability, security, solutions, infrastructure, architecture and change in IT. Also ensure high levels of security to enable the business to deliver its services, managing all incidents and issues; overseeing the implementation and delivery of IT security and contribute to ISO (phone number removed) certification.
You will plan implement, communicate and lead IT change management activity across IT and into business operations to secure the delivery of the business change and transformation programme across the business.
About you. It goes without saying you have in-depth and proven experience as a Senior IT Manager, with proven knowledge of the latest IT thinking and use of technology to enable business transformation and growth. You will understand business operations, IT operations and change delivery processes including Agile; along with a track record of transforming business through the use of IT including the use of Cloud technology (Microsoft Azure preferred). You will also need experience working with Senior Management and sound commercial financial awareness.
You will need strong, clear communication skills, particularly able to create a clear, unified. You understand and communicate concepts clearly including to non-technical stakeholders. A lateral thinker with good problem solving and decision-maker skills, you are able to work in a complex environment and make clear consistent decisions, create innovative solutions and think outside the box, anticipating issues and pro-actively dealing with them Using your leadership qualities you are confident, enthusiastic, positive, conscientious and have a flexible attitude, able to lead a large diverse team inspiring enthusiasm and change in others.
