Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

Prior experience within the construction industry working for a main contractor for a minimum of 3 years.
Previous experience working with RC Framework
Knowledge of new build industrial projects of £20m+.
A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations.
Well organised, self starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works.
Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties.The Role

As the Quantity Surveyor on this project you'll assist in establishing the client's requirements alongside performing risk, value and cost management on a £11m+ Industrial development. You will play an integral role to a team to deliver state of the art project.

Duties

Submission of interim payment applications
Preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports / Project cost control
Assisting with all commercial aspects of allocated projects
Preparation and submission of interim valuations
Manage and value variations
Attend meetings for the agreement of final accounts
Post contract liaison with clients
Sub-contract negotiation and letting
Joint responsibility of managing contract costs including payments to sub-contractors
Preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports
Assist with the management of contractual documentation and letters / Understanding of sub-contracts
Placing sub-contract orders
