Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating

Industry Sector: Plumbing and Heating Merchants, Plumbers Merchants, Builders Merchants and Hardware Stores

Area to be covered: North West London and Home Counties

Remuneration: £35,000-£38,000 Neg. + £10,000 Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full Benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating will involve:

* Field sales position, selling our clients distributed range of plumbing and heating supplies to plumbing & heating merchants (95% plumbers merchants), builders merchants and hardware stores

* 80% account management, 20% new business development position

* Responsible for circa 200 live accounts (not all spending) and 50 prospective plumbers merchant accounts

* Inheriting one of the largest territories in the country with a turnover of circa £5m

* Offering recommendations for new products lines and managing the area through rigorous business planning

* Identifying purchase decision makers and arrange and attend sales visits

* Building relationships with both existing and prospective clients

* Huge prospect database

* Fantastic opportunity, our client has a stronghold of loyal customers in the South East and it looking to build upon its reputation as one of the leading plumbing and heating suppliers

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating with:

* A proven field sales track record in the plumbing & heating industry

* Either successfully selling to plumbers merchants or may consider someone working for a plumbers merchant in a field sales capacity

* Account management/ relationship building skills

* Entrepreneurial attitude

* Comfortable with IT systems and CRM reporting

* Friendly, assertive, independent, quick paced and able to work on own initiative

* Persuasive with ability to sell concepts and ideas by gaining commitment and willing acceptance

* An outlook which will thrive in a challenging environment, and have the freedom to act and the authority to take decisions
